Children actually respond more quickly to acupuncture treatment than adults. Because needles used for children are extremely thin and not retained but quickly withdrawn after insertion, most infants and children are not bothered by the treatment.


Alternative treatments to the use of needles are Shonishin and Tui Na.

Shonishin uses a specialized tool to gently scrape or rub your child’s skin along specific acupuncture channels.

Tui Na therapy is a gentle therapeutic massage in which specific acupuncture points are manipulated to alleviate common infantile ailments.
